چکیده
High-strength steel and aluminum alloys are used to manufacture modern vehicles. The objective was reduce the weight fuel consumption of In this study optimum parameters for friction stir spot welding (FSSW) process between Al6061-T6 alloy HSS590 high-strength were determined. Response surface methodology based on central composite design (CCD) with three parameters, five levels, 19 runs conduct experiments develop mathematical regression models. joint tool speed, feed, dwell time. Analysis variance then performed examine adequacy developed Finally, effects mechanical properties investigated using addition, distribution chemical composition fracture characteristics joints examined scanning electron microscopy (SEM). investigation found that a speed 1576 rpm, feed rate 45 mm∙min-1, time 10 s. Furthermore, results confirmed models consistent.

متن کاملFeasibility study of friction stir welding of 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with AISI 1018 steel
The present work demonstrates that friction stir welding (FSW) is a feasible route for joining 6061 aluminium (Al) alloy to AISI 1018 steel. The weld has a good weld quality and is free of cracks and porosity. The tensile failure happened at the boundary between the nugget and thermomechanically affected zone of the base Al alloy, indicating that the weld has a higher joining strength. Despite ...

متن کاملStudy on the Joining of Titanium and Aluminum Dissimilar Alloys by Friction Stir Welding
Titanium alloy TC1 and Aluminum alloy LF6 were butt jointed and lap jointed by friction stir welding (FSW), and the influence of process parameters on formation of weld surface, cross-section morphology and strength were studied. The results show that, Titanium and Aluminum dissimilar alloy is difficult to be butt joined by FSW, and some defects such as cracks and grooves are easy to occur. Whe...
